I help kids ages 3-12 dive headfirst into the dynamic world of contemporary music, guiding them through interactive and engaging piano lessons tailored to their interests and preferences. Not only will your child really learn the ins and outs of the piano but they'll also develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music!

Virtual Piano Class believes in providing accessible, flexible, and affordable online piano lessons for students ages 3-12. We know how important it is for a student to have access to a music education and make sure our studio reflects this. Our flexible scheduling allows families to continue doing what they're doing without sacrificing a piano education.
We also know how complicated activities and monthly budgets can be! We want to make sure that cost is not a barrier for anyone in achieving their musical goals. Both private and group classes are offered throughout the year with workshops and camps in the summer. Virtual Piano Class is devoted to cultivating a positive and supportive learning environment for all piano students.

Our regular live classes are conducted via Muzie.live - an online music education platform similar to zoom but optimized for instrument education online. When your student joins our studio, you'll have access to this software instead of Zoom.

Contemporary Piano Lessons for Kids
There is no specific age limit for starting piano lessons.
There's no perfect age for learning the piano, but generally children as young as 3 can start exploring and learning the basics of the piano. At Virtual Piano Class, we've seen it's more about child curiousity, parent involement, and teacher enthusiasm than hitting a set of standards or age.
Learning the play the piano online is different than in person - but that doesn't mean it's more or less difficult.
Our exclusively online piano studio focuses on bringing tech and education together to provide the most flexibility and accessiblity to students worldwide. With students around the United States, Canada, and Europe we've seen how powerful online lessons can be. Ms. Meghan has worked through trial and error and research to bring the best online resources and teaching style to our online piano studio.
The duration of learning to play the piano varies from person to person.
How long it takes to properly "learn the piano" entirely depends on the individual student motivation, family support, outside obligations, and anything and everything else life is throwing your way. We've seen students progress incredibly fast and others take their time. Ms. Meghan will never rush a student as every learner needs the space to grow at their own pace. We've found that once a student finds their niche in the piano world, though, their piano skills blossom exponentially as their excitement and love of music drives them to practice more and stay engaged.
Practice sessions at home don't need to be super long.
While students are always more than welcome to practice more, the studio structure of Virtual Piano Class only asks students practice 5 minutes a day, regularly. Regularly is open to interpretation with their families - the most common we've seen is 5 minutes each school day. This helps build consistency and habits without overwhelming the pianist or family.
Contemporary piano lessons allows space for individuality.
The piano lessons your child will have through Virtual Piano Class are designed to bring today's music into the spotlight and provide a framwork for students to leap from. Pop hits, soundtracks, hip hop, jazz, etc. are all encouraged in classes to spark creativity and excitement while learning the piano.
Musical talent is not a requirement for playing the piano.
While some students may have a more natural inclination for music, absolutely anyone can learn to play the piano with dedication, practice, and support. Our approach focuses on nurturing each student's unique abilities and helping them discover what music can do for them in their life.
