Agreement to these terms
By enrolling in Virtual Piano Class, scheduling a session, or using any part of our website or studio platform, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your enrolled child. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not enroll or use our services.
These terms form an agreement between you and Meghan Labadie, operator of Virtual Piano Class.
Our services
Virtual Piano Class provides online piano instruction to students ages 6–14 through a combination of live online sessions, asynchronous video feedback, and a private online community. Live sessions, video feedback, and the student community are delivered through Muzie. Billing and scheduling are managed through Fons.
We offer two membership tiers, Studio Lite and Studio Elite, each with a defined set of included sessions and services as described on our website at the time of enrollment.
Enrollment and eligibility
Enrollment is open to children ages 6–14. No prior musical experience is required.
A parent or legal guardian must complete enrollment and agree to these terms on the child's behalf. By enrolling, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of the student and are authorized to make decisions about their participation.
Billing and payments
Membership is billed monthly in advance through Fons. Your billing date is based on your enrollment date and recurs automatically each month until you cancel.
Pricing is listed on our website at the time of enrollment and may be updated for new enrollments. Current pricing for each tier is described on our website. There is no sibling discount; each enrollment is priced individually.
If a payment fails, we will contact you to resolve it. Access to sessions, video feedback, and the community may be paused until billing is resolved.
Scheduling and sessions
Sessions are parent-scheduled through Fons. Availability and booking windows differ by tier and are described on our website and in your scheduling link.
For individual sessions, sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance and may be rescheduled up to 4 hours before the start time. Group classes follow the scheduling policy described for each tier.
If your child cannot attend a scheduled session, you may reschedule within the windows described above. We understand life is unpredictable; reach out to Ms. Meghan directly when something comes up.
Cancellations and refunds
Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract. To cancel before the next billing cycle, email virtualpianoclass@gmail.com by the 15th of the month. Cancellations received after the 15th take effect the following billing cycle.
You may switch between tiers at any time. Switches requested by the 15th of the month take effect on the next billing cycle.
Because sessions are scheduled and services are delivered throughout each month, monthly membership fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun. We do not issue partial refunds for unused sessions within a cycle.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate contact and billing information at enrollment and keep it current
- Ensure your child has the necessary technology and a safe, appropriate space to participate
- Respect scheduled session times and use the rescheduling windows when you need to change a session
- Communicate with Ms. Meghan about your child's needs, progress, and any concerns
Student conduct and community use
Our student community is a closed, moderated space for enrolled students and their families. It is designed to be safe, supportive, and inclusive.
We expect students and families to treat others with kindness and respect. Bullying, harassment, hate speech, or sharing of another person's private information is not permitted and may result in removal from the community or the studio.
Parents are responsible for monitoring their child's activity in the community and for their child's compliance with these expectations.
Recordings and content
Video and audio recordings your child submits for feedback, and any content posted in the community, are used to deliver instruction and may be reviewed by Ms. Meghan. We do not post photos or videos of students publicly without explicit written parental permission, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of your child's submitted content. By submitting it for feedback, you grant us permission to use it solely for the purpose of providing instruction to your child.
Intellectual property
All instructional materials, curriculum, practice library content, and resources provided through Virtual Piano Class are owned by Meghan Labadie or our licensors and are provided for your child's personal educational use only. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or publicly share these materials.
The WunderKeys curriculum is used under license and remains the property of its publisher.
Third-party platforms
Our services rely on two third-party platforms: Fons for billing and scheduling, and Muzie for live sessions, video feedback, and the student community. Each platform has its own terms of service and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at fons.com and muzie.com.
We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or performance of these third-party platforms beyond what is within our control.
Limitation of liability
Virtual Piano Class provides online music instruction. We are not responsible for outcomes that depend on individual practice, motivation, or circumstances outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the membership fees you have paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify enrolled families by email if we make material changes. Continued enrollment after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
